The 2014-2015 Lamborghini Asterion LPI 910-4 is a plug-in hybrid super-car that is manufactured by the Italian maker Lamborghini. And the Asterion is the very first plug-in hybrid made by Lamborghini, and the name comes from the name of a mythical minotaur. The Asterion was first relieved at the 2014 Paris Auto Show this year on October 2nd. The Asterion's frame and body is made out of carbon fiber monocoque with aluminum, and as for the brakes the Asterion has Carbo-ceramic brake disc that are internally ventilated and crossed-drilled. As for the engine the Asterion has a 5.2L V10 with IDS (Direct Injection Stratified) that produces 610hp and combining that with its 3 electric motors that produce 300hp, which is 100hp each it makes the 300hp plus the 610hp combined equal the 910hp that is included in the name. And that makes the Asterion one of the most powerful Lamborghini's yet to come. And for the transmission the Asterion has a 4-wheel drive system where the front wheels are powered by the 3 electric motors and the rear are powered by the gas powered engine, and the gearbox of the Asterion is a Lamborghini Doppia Frizone (LDF) 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The Asterion has a top speed of 199mph with the acceleration of 0-62 in just 3.0 seconds flat. What I think personally of the Asterion is that its a very different type of Lamborghini from the design of the exterior to its components. I never thought that Lamborghini would convert into the think green idea of an electric hybrid like Honda or Toyota and this is very strange to me. The body looks like the previous models of the huracian and the murria combined with a Honda or Ford focus. Although they did keep the original Lamborghini interior of the car which was a good thing. I don't particularly like the car and wouldn't put it into production but rather leave it as a concept model.
