2010-2013 Jaguar C-X75-Hybrid Supercar
The 2010-2013 Jaguar C-X75 is a two-seat, electric-hybrid, concept car that was first reviled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. The Jaguar C-X75 concept can produce up to 778 horsepower through its four electric motors, in each of which powers one of the four wheels. The batteries driving the C-X75 motors are recharged by using two diesel-fed micro gas turbines instead of a conventional four-stroke-engine. The C-X75 is described as a model that will influence the future design and technology. The jaguar C-X75 was named in honor of Jaguar's 75th anniversary, the C stands for concept and the X stands for experimental. In May 2011 jaguar announced plans to build the C-X75 from 2013-2015 with a limited production amount, with a downsized, boosted petrol engine instead of the micro gas turbines in the concept model. The price of the C-X75 was estimated at 1.15-1.48 million dollars, A maximum of 250 models were to be built and the production version was expected in all electrical ranges of 30mi.
